Role: Full Stack Software Engineer

Project Overview
Fable was a web based animation platform that had the goal of providing a simple and accessible animation tool to fill the gap between less powerful animation engines and very powerful but complex ones like Adobe After Effects.
My Role
I was hired as a Full Stack Software Engineer on the Platform team. I was responsible for the redesign and development of the organization switching system, the addition of custom fonts to the animation engine, the re-architecting and replacement of the apps design system and many other features, refactors and architecting. I programmed in React, CSS and Typescript.
Development Process
For development, I worked with a team of four other Platform team engineers. We worked closely with our Project Manager and Head of design to build new features to enhance the product features and offerings to animators.
In terms of my development process, when given a project I’d analyze the systems technical areas of improvement and come up with an implementation plan, discuss the plan with my teammates, add the plan to our task management system and then execute the plan by adding the new features/refactors or bug fixes to the application.
